Jeff Carter Is Available

TSN insider Darren Dreger has reported that the Jackets center Jeff Carter is ”100 % available” But he does have a very hefty contract meaning not every team can have him on thier roster. The Maple Leafs could go for him as there has been a lot of rumors lately. But GM Brian Burke did later say that he does not DOES NOT want anything to do with that contract. So lets check the Leafs off the list of potential trade partners. The Jackets do want a fair return for giving up Carter, so they do want a good young player and a few draft picks. Dreger did also say the Edmonton Oilers Sam Gagner might be moved by the deadline. The Oilers say they aren’t shoping Gagner but when ever GM Steve Tambellini talks to other teams about a defenseman, some how Sam Gagner’s name does comes up.
